limited number of openings are available in the
Northshore School District’s preschool and
pre-kindergarten programs. Both programs are offered
at Cottage Lake Elementary on the east side of
the district and Frank Love Elementary on the
west side. There will be separate morning and
afternoon sessions of each program with a maximum
of 12 students per session.
At Cottage Lake, there are four openings in
the pre-school program and nine in the pre-kindergarten
program. At Frank Love there are seven openings
in pre-school and five in pre-kindergarten.
Both programs will focus on early literacy
activities and curriculum appropriate to the
child’s age and development. Classes will
be limited in size and taught by an associate
of arts certified teacher and a trained assistant.
To qualify for the pre-school program, a child
must be three years old by Aug. 31, 2004. Children
will attend the program on Tuesdays and Thursdays,
three hours each day. Tuition is $156 a month.
To qualify for the pre-kindergarten program,
a child must be four years old by Aug. 31, 2004.
Children will attend class three hours a day,
three days a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Tuition is $234 a month.
