DEC. 19: Mail fraud. Officers were dispatched
to a theft of mail in progress in the 32800
block NE 40th Circle in Carnation. Upon arrival
to the area, a car that looked like a description
of the suspects’ vehicle was on the side
of the road. Three people were inside along
with 150 pieces of mail and all were placed
under arrest for mail theft. Two were released
after being fingerprinted and a third was taken
to King County Jail on additional charges including
violation of controlled substances.
Mail theft is a federal offense so federal
inspectors are involved in the case.
DEC. 21: Two businesses in Duvall had some
windows broken out. A good description of the
suspect was given by a witness. The officers
responding requested a K-9 unit for tracking
purposes but the officers were able to locate
the suspect without extra help. He was uncooperative
and eventually a taser gun had to be used. The
suspect’s condition was checked by medics
before he was transported to the King County
Jail for Malicious Mischief.
