After handing over a check for $10,000 to go towards
Duvall’s WRECK Center, King County Councilmember
Kathy Lambert opens a gift from the city - a Duvallopoly
game. The Northshore YMCA, which is now operating
the youth center, accepted the check on behalf
of the city at the Dec. 9 City Council meeting.
The county money will go towards use and operations
of the facility. The WRECK Center had been suffering
severe financial shortages during this past year.
A fund-raising campaign by Duvall residents garnered
enough money to keep the center open during the
summer.
