Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s Musical Ride: In this living tribute to Canadian heritage and history, a troop of 32 scarlet coated “Mounties” on majestic black horses will present a spectacle of intricate figures and cavalry drills choreographed to music that has entertained millions around the world. Free upon gate admission. Visit website for performance days and times. Dark Mondays.

Puyallup Fair Western Rodeo Parade: Friday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m. See the Mounties strut their stuff in this annual parade. It starts with a cattle drive down Meridian, Puyallup’s major arterial, followed by a non-motorized parade. Equestrian drill teams, school marching bands, horse hitches, costume characters to kick off opening day of the Fair and the Rodeo. Then, enjoy Fair gates free until noon on opening day only.

PRCA Wrangler ProRodeo Tour: Friday, Sept. 9– Sunday, Sept. 11

There will be non-stop action on Sept. 9 and Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., and for the finals on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. Following Friday night’s rodeo, country singer Terri Clark will perform, and up-and-comer country sensation Blaine Larsen will perform after Saturday night’s rodeo. The nation’s top competitors will be participating.

Budweiser Clyesdales: Sept. 21 – 25 Check out those great horses you’ve seen in the commercials over the years, and watch them perform daily.

Latino Celebration Day: Sunday, Sept. 18, starting at noon Enjoy HOT salsa music, a mariachi band, nationally recognized Latino music, and booths ready and willing to provide information and tips especially for our Latino guests. Music, speakers, and fun are all in store. Due to its popular debut last year, we’ve moved it to the Grandstand!

Daily; Kids will love meeting their favorite celebrity characters! It’s free to visit upon Fair gate admission. Photo opportunities will also be available.

Rie Munoz Art Exhibit

World-renown Alaskan artist, Rie Munoz will have a special showing throughout the Fair. Many pieces will also be available for sale. Meet her in person on Sept. 9, 10, 11.

Special Days:

  • Military Appreciation Day - Tuesday, Sept. 13 – starting at 10 a.m.
    In recognition of those military men and women who help keep our country safe and free, active, reserve and retired military and their dependents receive free gate admission on Tuesday, Sept. 13 with valid military ID at the gate.
  • Senior Tuesdays - Tuesdays, Sept. 13 and 20
    Activities and events for young-at-heart seniors will be highlighted both Tuesdays of the Fair, Sept. 13 & 20. Music at Showplace Stage is slated for our senior audience, coffee and snacks will be served first thing in the morning, and special coupon savings ONLY for seniors will be available both Tuesdays.
