Puyallup Fair needs workers

With less than two weeks to go, vendors, food and ride operators are anxious to fill the multitude of job openings they still have. Those interested could be working during the Puyallup Fair, Sept. 9-25.

Interested individuals can apply at the Fair’s WorkSource Employment Office. Office hours are 8 a.m. until 11 a.m., and 1 to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday until Sept. 23. Last year 2,250+ job seekers were hired. The office has moved from its location in previous years, and will now be located on the north end of the Fairgrounds west of the Red gate, next to the Sky Ride station (9th Ave. SW near 4th St. SW). Job applicants can park in the premium lot across from the WorkSource Employment Office until Sept. 8.

A variety of positions will be offered, including restaurant workers, barn workers, retail sales, ride, game and booth operators and more. Most jobs will pay minimum wage ($7.35/hour). All applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

If interested, applicants must apply IN PERSON at the Fair’s WorkSource Employment Office near the Red gate.

Picture identification and proof of legal right to work, such as a social security card or alien registration card, are required.
