Woodinville golf tourney to fight cancer

Christopher S. Elliott lost his battle with cancer, but three weeks before he died, he created the Christopher S. Elliott Memorial Glioblastoma Brain Tumor Research Fund, which, over the past three years through the game of golf, has raised more than $60,000 for glioblastoma brain tumor research and an additional $40,000 via auctions and direct donations.

On Sept. 12, the Fourth Annual Chris S. Elliott Memorial Golf Tournament Auction & Dinner will be held at the Bear Creek Country Club in Woodinville. Tournament organizers have set a fundraising goal of $50,000.

Proceeds will benefit Jimmy Fund Golf, with direct support for Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Research at Dana-Farber.
