NSD thanks community for levy/bond support

To celebrate the passage of the Northshore School District’s levy and bond measures, the Northshore community is invited to a free reception and concert on March 8 at 6 p.m. at the Northshore Performing Arts Center at Bothell High School, 18125 92nd Ave. NE.

Music will be provided by the jazz bands from Bothell High School, Canyon Park Junior High, and Skyview Junior High.

The event will also feature information about school modernizations that voters recently approved, as well as updates on projects funded four years ago.

Northshore voters expressed strong support for all three school-funding measures on the Feb. 7 ballot.

The district’s maintenance and operations levy, which provides 20 percent of the funding for basic school operations, passed with 71 percent approval. The district’s technology levy passed with 70 percent approval, and more than 65 percent of voters approved the capital bond authorization, which will provide $123 million to upgrade schools.
