to a grant from the Western States Arts Federation
and a contribution by the City of Woodinville,
the Parks & Recreation Department is hosting
a free hip hop workshop for youth ages 12 to 15
on Saturday, March 18, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at
the Woodinville Community Center, Gymnasium, 17401-133rd
Ave. NE. The Rainbow Dance Theater will teach
kids exciting and high energy skills and cultural
dance elements that make up today’s popular
hip hop dancing style. Some workshop participants
will be invited to join the troupe and perform
one dance routine at the Roots of Hip Hop performance
on March 18, 8 p.m. at the Northshore Performing
Arts Center.

Tickets for the evening performance are $19.50
and available through the NPAC www.npacf.org
