Sno-Valley Senior Center celebrates a build-out of kitchen

Jennifer Berg and Barb Haugen, both long-time senior center volunteers, recently cut the ribbon for the new kitchen build-out at the Sno-Valley Senior Activity Center. The kitchen build-out was made possible by a grant from the state of Washington accomplished with the assistance of Rep. Toby Nixon with Larry Springer.

The build-out will house an 8 by 12 walk-in refrigerator, plus additional cabinet space.

It will help the center better serve meals to the 930 community residents who participate in center activities as well as make easier the monthly 2nd Saturday community dinners.

Director Lisa Yeager said, “We appreciate the great community support we enjoy. Everything that happens at the center helps us accomplish our mission of helping local seniors live healthier and more independent lives in their own home.”

The Sno-Valley Senior Activity Center invites the community to come by anytime to view the new kitchen.

Monthly community dinners offer a choice of steak, salmon or chicken for only $13. Call 425-333-4152 for reservations or for more information.
