2006 Cows to Community auction

Soccer tryouts
Snoqualmie Valley Youth Soccer Association will be hosting tryouts for Cascade Select (SnVYSA’s advanced development program) March 18 & 19 (and some mid-week dates) for age groups U11 through U18 (born between 08-01-95 through 07-31-89) Please check the Web site at www.snvysa.org for more information (click on “Clubs” and then “Cascade Select”). There is no fee to participate in the tryouts. Online registration for tryouts is available.

Blue Sky Camp hosts Family Day on April 2
Blue Sky Camp will host a special afternoon event for families who want to learn more about the programs being offered at Blue Sky Camp. Family Day is Sunday, April 2 from 12-3 pm. Family Day at Blue Sky Camp is a free event where families will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of hands-on learning activities similar to those that will be part of the camp sessions. Blue Sky Camp is currently offering Spring Break, Super Saturday, and Summer day camps in the Duvall area.

Celtic music sessions
A traditional session of Celtic – mostly Irish – music convenes each Tuesday night at P&G Speakeasy Cafe in Duvall. Open to all levels of Celtic players, the circle of musicians pours out lively reels and jigs, haunting airs and marches,and occasionally has an Irish song or traditional dance. Tile classes
Learn to create beautiful handmade tile at the Northwest Art Center in Duvall. Four-week class starts Saturday, March 18 from 1:30 – 4 pm. Teens and adults. Beginners welcome. $122 includes all firing and materials. Call (425) 788-5900 to register.

Irish events for St. Patrick’s Day
March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day. Celebrate with live music and a special Irish feast at The Nines, in Redmond’s Trilogy Golf Course. Susan Burke and the fiery sounds of DOWRY will offer traditional and nontraditional Irish music throughout dinner (5-8) . The band features Dave Walker, percussion, Jennifer Parkinson, bass and guitar and Dave Skerrupa, lead guitar. Enjoy a three-course St. Paddy’s dinner and be Irish once again! Dancing welcome.

Volunteers needed to plant trees and help restore salmon habitat
A volunteer tree planting event will be held near Fall City, at Aldarra Golf Course along Canyon Creek, on Saturday, March 18 from 10am – 1 pm. Volunteers are needed to help plant native vegetation along a stretch of Canyon Creek, a tributary to the Snoqualmie River. The Stilly-Snohomish Fisheries Enhancement Task Force, a non-profit organization, is conducting the planting event with support from the Members Club at Aldarra.
