MAR. 14: A red Ford Expedition had been
prowled overnight. Items taken added up to
around $1,350. Besides the personal items
taken, the suspect slashed the front passenger
seat and stabbed the back of the seat with
a small black screwdriver.
Another vehicle, a 1999 Ford Escort Station
Wagon was also getting a go-over by prowlers
the same night. The front passenger side
window had been broken out and the glove
compartment was open. A wallet was found
nearby with an emergency contact phone number
inside. When contacted the owner said only
$6 in cash was missing.
MAR. 14: A judgment in court against the
owner of a dog that attacked another dog
was for $377.18 with a 30 day-to-pay stipulated.
No money had passed to the aggrieved party.
The owner of the injured dog was planning
to have the case transferred to the Civil
Docket and she said that as a courtesy she
made a phone call to the owner of the aggressive
dog to give him a chance to pay up the judgment
and eliminate being involved in another court
case.
However, she claims that he became irate
and told her that he would pay when he felt
like it. She explained that this could go
on his credit report, a garnishment of his
wages could be set in motion, or she could
place a lien against his property if he neglects
to pay. He became even more irate and accused
her of threatening him. He replied that he
would pay when he felt like it.
To her question of when she could expect
the payment, he repeated that he’d
pay when he could. But when he reminded her
that he knew where she and her kids live
and she’d better watch out, she felt
she was being threatened and hung up the
phone. The police spoke to the male who supposedly
made the threat and he denied making any
threats. He agreed to show up at the station
the next day and give his side of the story.
MAR. 16: Going south from Monroe on Route
103 a dark colored SUV in front of the patrol
car turned onto NE Cherry Valley Rd. The
front passenger side was damaged and a run
of the license identified that his license
had expired and punched. Dispatch revealed
that there was a warrant out from the Seattle
police department for DUI with a restriction
requiring an interlock device on the vehicle.
He was placed in hand restraints and taken
into custody at which time he began to shake.
He said that he was having convulsions and
requested medical help ... which he received.
It was confirmed that the vehicle was involved
in a hit-and-run in Monroe. The suspect was
transferred to jail and the vehicle was impounded.
The case has been forwarded to the prosecutor
for review and filing of charges–Driving
without License-3 and driving a vehicle without
ignition interlock.
MAR 19: Around 2:30 in the morning a white
1995 pickup was seen with sparks coming from
the passenger’s side. When stopped,
the patrolman noticed what appeared to be
vomit on the driver’s side, driver’s
clothing disheveled and soiled along with
the inside of the vehicle, driver’s
seat and floorboard. It was noted that his
eyes were watery and pupils dilated and he
staggered as he walked. It appeared that
alcohol had been his companion.
He was confused when asked for his ID. On
the passenger’s side there appeared
fresh damage to the head lamp and the grill
was punched out. The lower portion of the
front end was cracked and hanging loose.
The hood was pushed up on the passenger’s
side and the tire was completely gone with
deep scratches evident on the vehicle.
Redmond dispatch was notified that the vehicle
might have been involved in a hit-and-run
and the King Country Sheriff’s Office
was contacted. The vehicle had apparently
been involved in an accident at the 24000
block of Novelty Hill Rd. The guard rail
had been involved and the vehicle was inoperable
and blocking the roadway. It was towed and
any further contact regarding the incident
will be handled by the county.
