The Columbia Center was the site of the annual Big Climb for Leukemia. Climbers raced and trudged up 49 floors to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The JK Gals, a team made up of staff from The Woodinville Weekly and JK Personal Training, took part in the Big Climb for Leukemia Sunday, March 19. The local group joined over 3,200 other participants who climbed to the top of the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle.

The Climb was a 69-flight course, including 1,311 steps and 788 feet of vertical elevation. The JK Gals raised over $2,000 in pledges for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Pledges are still being accepted. Mail them by April 7 to 530 Dexter Ave. North, Ste. 300, Seattle, WA 98109.
