Fall City holds logo design contest

Fall City does not currently have a logo to use on official documents, marketing materials, Web pages, signs, business cards and more. The Fall City Community Association (FCCA) decided to involve the residents in the process of developing a logo that represents the community by having a logo design contest.

The FCCA chose Small Town Charm; Arts, Culture and Heritage; Family-Friendly; and Natural Environment, as the words/phrases that describe the community of Fall City.

Information about Fall City and the logo contest, including rules for the contest, can be found on the Web site: www.fallcity.org.

While the FCCA doesn’t want to limit the use of a tree/river/mountain, common in logos for Washington cities, they would like to pursue a logo that clearly sets Fall City’s logo apart from those of other cities.

Submittals must be made by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2006, and mailed to Kevin & Laurie Hauglie – Fall City Logo Design Contest, PO Box 5, Fall City, WA 98024 or delivered to Farmers Insurance Group, 33410 SE Redmond/Fall City Road, Fall City, WA 98024.

The grand prize is $250 cash; runner-up prizes (2) - $50 gift certificates. The winning logo submittals can be viewed at the FCCA booth at Fall City Days. Final judging will be done by the FCCA Logo Contest committee. All prizes will be awarded at Fall City Days on Saturday, June 17, 2006.

The FCCA may choose not to use the grand prize winning logo as Fall City’s official logo. For more information, contact Nancy White at (425) 222-4895 or send an e-mail to contest@fallcity.org
