Summer camp registration at Braithburn Academy
Braithburn Academy in Duvall begins summer camp registration this week. Camp hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Braithburn offers four field trips each week, arts and crafts, cooking projects, games, swimming and more. The Academy has experienced, long term staff and is licensed. P&G entertainment
Saturday, April 29, BOWI will perform at the P&G.Kickin’ Celtic music - For years, Seattle based BOWI has been entertaining audiences with a blend of traditional Celtic music and unique energy. The BOWI sound encompasses a wide range of music including driving jigs and reels, exciting vocals and beautiful ballads. An incredibly flexible and adaptive group, BOWI has performed at everything from pubs and local fairs, to private parties and weddings. ‘Wonderglobe: Toys and Tales to Spin the Imagination’ at Cherry Valley Elementary
Rick Hartman’s “Wonderglobe: Toys and Tales to Spin the Imagination,” will be held Friday night, April 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Cherry Valley Elementary School in Duvall. There will be pizza and drinks served for dinner at 6:30 and the show will begin at 7:10 p.m. Crafts will also be provided. This free event is sponsored by Encompass. On Saturday, April 29, from 2 to 6 p.m., Larry Lindvig of Carnation winery Pleasant Hill will be at State Vines pouring a selection of his wines. Larry’s wines have been rated “outstanding” by Winepress Northwest. Both red and white wines will be tasted including Viognier, Sangiovese, Malbec and more. Duvall Chamber of Commerce hosts business speakers
The Duvall Chamber of Commerce recently mailed membership renewal and directory ad forms to all members. The deadline is May 1. Free listings in the Directory’s category section and alphabetical index are among the benefits of the Chamber’s $75 annual membership fee. Full page, half-page and business card size ads are available for additional fees that have been held at last year’s prices. The Duvall Chamber meets the first Thursday of every month at the Duvall Fire Station. A networking lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by the general meeting from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. The May 4 meeting features Nancy Gilbertson, director of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Seattle District Office and Tiffany McVeety from the Northwest Washington Women’s Business Center.
