APRIL 24: While patrolling in Carnation,
an officer arrested a driver for driving
on a suspended license. What was believed
to be marijuana was found and taken from
the driver’s pocket. A K-9 unit was
brought in to do a search throughout the
vehicle for drugs and paraphernalia.
Cyrus, the K-9, did his job showing the
way to burnt residue of drugs and paraphernalia
underneath the front passenger seat. The
suspect was fingerprinted and the evidence
secured.
APRIL 26: In Duvall four juveniles were
seen “huffing” something from
a can. They stated that they had two cans
of Dust Off spray, one of which had been
stolen and were just playing with it. When
the police contacted the store manager a
discrepancy occurred in the number of cans
missing. The parents were offered a chance
to belatedly reimburse the agreed-upon number.
APRIL 27: A patrolman was dispatched along
with a camera and vacuum to Carnation. A
K-9 police car parked behind City Hall had
been vandalized by a thrown rock. A witness
saw the whole thing as he sat in his kennel
inside the police car but he wasn’t
talking.
Evidence indicated that a rock, weighing
about 8 pounds, came flying through the rear
window covering the dog and front seat with
glass and leaving scratches on the cage and
the inside of the car. Pictures were taken
of the scene and rock.
APRIL 30: A patrolman in Duvall noted a
car with either a flat or a tire that was
very low on air squeal around a corner from
Main onto NE Stephens St.
When stopped the driver was not aware of
the tire condition and had no insurance.
He said he was selling it to the passenger.
However, on running his name and license
through dispatch it was learned that he had
a suspended license for unpaid tickets. He
was arrested for driving on a suspended license.
The adult male passenger was advised to
leave the scene since the vehicle was going
to be impounded due to alcohol and marijuana
pipe being found in the vehicle. The mother
and owner of the car arrived at the police
station to retrieve her son and was not happy
at the police for having her car impounded.
MAY 2: A physical domestic violence response
occurred early in the a.m. The couple were
on the porch with their child. They were
not arguing or fighting but were soon to
be exes.
The child had been crying when he had called
the father at 3 a.m. to complain about the “partying” going
on. The father comes every day to take their
son to school.
That morning he had come over to the house
pounding on all the windows and doors demanding
to be let in … which she wouldn’t
do.
The father claimed that bad company was
there that morning and turned on his angry
and jealous button and apparently he threatened
to beat up everyone in the house if they
didn’t leave.
The wife was advised about protection orders
she could get and he was advised to limit
his contact while picking up or dropping
off his son.
