Sno-Valley Senior Activity Center explores senior housing options

The Sno-Valley Senior Activity Center is exploring ways to get affordable housing for senior citizens in the Snoqualmie Valley.

There is currently no retirement living or assisted living or nursing homes in the communities of Duvall, Carnation or Fall City. As a result, lifelong members of the community are forced to move to Monroe, Redmond or Issaquah to get the kind of assistance and housing that they need.

The Senior Center is exploring many different options, however, now the center needs to hear from the public.

Two focus groups will be held to hear from the local community. Residents are invited to share their ideas, opinions and needs with center staff on Tuesday, May 23 at either 1 p.m. or 6 p.m.

Snacks will be served. Everyone of all ages is invited to participate.

The Sno-Valley Senior Activity Center is located at 4610 Stephens Ave. in Carnation, just ½ a block east of Tolt Ave. (Hwy 203) on the corner of Bird and Stephens.

Feel free to call Sno-Valley Senior Center Director Lisa Yeager at 425-333-4152 or e-mail her at lisay@seniorservices.org for any questions or for feedback or ideas to share.
