Sky Camp hosts family day on June 25
Blue Sky Camp will host a special afternoon event
for families who want to learn more about the
programs being offered. Family Day is Sunday,
June 25 from 12-3 p.m. This is a free event where
families will have the opportunity to participate
in a variety of hands-on science activities similar
to those that will be part of the camp sessions.

John Riley, Carnation resident and student
of piano performance at UW, returns to
Miller’s where he will perform works
by Schubert, Beethoven and Bach. John looks
forward to this opportunity to play for
family and friends in this intimate, vibrant
venue. This is a family friendly event
so bring your kids – there will be
an art table set up for them.
Art opening is set for Sun., June 25,
5-7:30 p.m. Diane Solomon of North Bend
will present new works that incorporate
pastel, colored pencil, gold leaf and rice
papers in addition to watercolor. Diane
is a member of the Northwest Watercolor
Society.

Wastemobile in Carnation
King County residents can safely and easily
dispose of hazardous products by dropping
them by the King County Wastemobile,
June 30 through July 2, from 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m. at Tolt Middle School in Carnation.
Items include pesticides, chlorine bleach,
paint products, propane tanks, automotive
products (oil, antifreeze, auto batteries,
etc.), fluorescent bulbs/ballasts and
other items free of charge. By properly
disposing of these materials and keeping
them out of drains and landfills, King
County residents are helping safeguard
the environment. Tolt Middle School is
