| Little
Bear Creek Parkway overlay expected to begin
June 25 |
|
| If
weather permits, beginning the week of June
25 travelers in downtown Woodinville are asked
to be patient as the City’s Public Works
Department begins its 2006 overlay program
with the paving of Little Bear Creek Parkway
(NE 177th Place). The pavement overlay will
extend from approximately 132nd Avenue NE to
south of the NE 190th Street intersection.
To minimize daytime traffic congestion and
access to businesses, the majority of the work
will be performed at night from 8 p.m. to 6
a.m., Sunday through Thursday. LBC Parkway
will be closed from State Route 202 to NE 190th
Street during all scheduled night work hours.
Notification signs will be posted at the road
closure areas and local access will be maintained
with delays. Detour routes will be posted and
drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and find
alternate routes. Completion of all related
work, such as pavement markings, shoulder work
and utility adjustments will be scheduled from
6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday and
are anticipated to be completed by September.
LBC Parkway will be open to traffic during
the scheduled day work hours, but lane closures
and delays are expected. In May, the City Council
awarded the overlay project contract to Wilder
Construction Company for approximately $330,000.
The overlay program is funded through the City’s
Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Contact
