Local Crime Watch Report
Compiled by Gloria Nelson from police reports

JUNE 20: A vehicle was traveling exceptionally slow in a 50 mph zone.

When stopped the driver said he was lost and was willing to take a field sobriety test as he hadn’t been drinking.

He did, however, have glassy eyes and was lethargic although his balance and coordination were fine.

His passenger did attempt to hide a plastic baggie underneath the seat.

It was thought to contain “shake”... slang for crumbs of marijuana. He also had a silver aluminum can on the floorboard that had been turned into a smoking device.

All evidence was sent to the Snoqualmie lab for testing. The outcome will determine whether charges will be filed.

JUNE 23: While monitoring traffic in the 15800 block on Main in Duvall, an older dark colored Honda Accord passed the patrol car.

The license plate was run through dispatch and the Redmond police department showed an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for the owner’s arrest. The vehicle was stopped north of Duvall.

The driver was advised of his $10,000 warrant for Driving With License Suspended -2 out of Redmond.

The male driver was escorted to Duvall for fingerprinting and a portrait and then on to Redmond for “safe keeping.”

JUNE 24: Malicious Mischief in Duvall. Police were dispatched to a homeowner who had spent Wednesday the 21st and Friday the 23rd cleaning more than 18 eggs each day from her driveway, garage doors and a For Sale sign.

What a Bon Voyage greeting for someone to receive.

JUNE 25: A citizen reported a speeding vehicle in the area of 16100 lst Ave. NE. in Duvall.

The driver explained that the exhaust is very loud on his vintage blue Toyota truck and it might have made it sound like he was speeding.

However, dispatch fingered him as having a suspended third degree license status for unpaid tickets giving him the privilege of being secured in handcuffs and taken into custody for fingerprinting and a mug shot.

His truck was given parking space in the impound area in Carnation.
