Mary
Louise Nicholas Johnson was born July 3, 1927,
in Spokane, Wash., to Ashley and Louise Nicholas.
At
the age of three, Mary moved with her parents
to the Woodinville area. Her parents
owned the Woodinville Greenhouses where
she worked part time after graduating from
Bothell
High School in 1945.Mary went to business
school in San Diego, Calif., and in March
1946, went to work for Dun and Bradstreet
in Seattle.
Through a fellow office worker, she met
and married Wes Johnson, a logger in Sultan,
Wash. In 1959 they moved to Woodinville where
Wes worked at service stations and Mary worked
for Molbak’s Greenhouse for five years
before taking a job at Sundstrand Data Control
from which she retired in 1988 after 22 years
with the company.
Mary and Wes traveled extensively throughout
the United States, Europe, Asia, and the
Caribbean.
Wes and Mary had 57 wonderful years together
before he died in February 2006.
Mary leaves four sons, Michael (girlfriend,
Nancy), Gerald (Mary Jane), Stephen (Patty),
Ron (Jeannie); nine grandchildren, and 11
great-grandchildren.
She love to bake, work in the garden and
visit with her many relatives and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, Aug.
18, at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A chapel service will
be held Saturday Aug. 19, at Purdy and Walters
at Floral Hills at noon with a graveside
service to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
