City Council sets top 2007 project goals |
|
|
At
its Feb. 10 Council Retreat, Bothell City Council
determined its top six 2007 project goals;
Council then ratified these goals at its Feb.
20 regular meeting. The goals include the following:
- Update
Downtown Plan and determine key City of Bothell
facilities as part of
Downtown Plan
- Finalize and implement Development
Services Initiative/Action Plan
- Advance development
agreement of Northshore School District downtown
property and begin
construction of joint School District/City
Public Works Shops
- Increase efforts on disaster
preparedness programs
- Implement City of Bothell
Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program and
examine pedestrian
facilities needs
- Increase the preservation of mobile home
parks.
“After a positive discussion during
our retreat, the Bothell City Council did
an excellent job of identifying our top priorities
for the remainder of this year,” said
City of Bothell Mayor Mark Lamb. “This
Council recognizes there are multiple issues
and concerns that affect Bothell, and these
top six simply reflect those that Council
will focus our energies on in the next 10
and half months.”
Next steps to implement these goals include
continued Council and staff work on existing
foundations laid in 2006 and working toward
various actions such as, but not limited
to, the Downtown Plan and Traffic Calming
Program.
