Northshore scholars named National Merit Finalists

Twelve students recognized for academic achievement

The National Merit Scholarship Foundation has named 12 Northshore School District seniors as National Merit Finalists. Finalists represent less than one-half of 1 percent of each state’s graduating class.

Bothell High School

  • Kailey Bolles, daughter of John Bolles and Mary McGregor of Bothell
  • Katie Ewing, daughter of Patrick and Karen Ewing of Bothell

Inglemoor High School

  • Brendon Cloyd, son of Tim and Lisa Cloyd of Bothell
  • David Feldman, son of Mark and Myriam Feldman of Redmond
  • William A. Johnson, son of Nanette and Calvin Johnson, Jr. of Kenmore
  • Alice Meng, daughter of Liqun Meng and Lisheng Zhang of Bothell
  • Abby Rhinehart, daughter of Bob Rhinehart and Sue Huth of Kenmore
  • Jessica Tsay, daughter of Peir and Sue Tsay or Bothell
  • Jeffrey Wang, son of Larry Longjiang Wang and Yangmei Wei of Kirkland
  • Erik Wipf, son of Evan and Denise Wipf of Bothell

Woodinville High School

  • Michael Conrad, son of David and Beverly Ann Conrad of Woodinville
  • Kaitlin Thompson, daughter of David and Elizabeth Thompson of Woodinville

Finalists will be considered for one of more than 8,200 National Merit Scholarships to be awarded this spring. Even if they do not receive that scholarship, finalists often receive other offers because of their standing as National Merit Finalists.
