Brownie
was aptly named. She is even sweeter than the
name implies!
This dog is just a lover. They
say that some animals know when they’ve been
rescued and spend the rest of their lives
thanking you, that’s our brownie.
Her story didn’t start off so sweet.
She was kept in a small fenced yard with
minimal human contact and care. She was in
such bad conditions that patches of her fur
were missing.
Brownie was only days away from being used
in pit bull fighting as a bait dog. She was
then rescued and transferred to us. No dog
deserves this life, especially not one as
precious as Brownie.
But our stories here at Homeward are all
about the “happy endings” not
the sad beginnings. Brownie is a one year
old, German Shepherd mix, female who is currently
up for adoption and in search for her forever
home. Will you help end this chapter in Brownie’s
life and give her the forever home she deserves?
Homeward Pet Adoption Center is a nonprofit,
no kill animal shelter based out of Woodinville.
Their mission is to involve our community
in providing care for homeless cats and dogs
until permanent homes are found, and to help
alleviate animal overpopulation by spaying
and neutering.
Homeward is located in the north side of
the Clearwater Spa Building at 18800 Woodinville-Snohomish
Road. Adoption hours are Wednesday through
Friday from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday
