Beloved
wife of Christopher P. Brehm, devoted mother
of Logan Christopher Brehm who will celebrate
his first birthday on August 19, 2007, and
loving daughter of Mary Elizabeth Summers,
our Brandy went home to be with her Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a tragic automobile
accident in Big Timber, Montana. She and
a
friend were traveling to attend Chris’ graduation
from the U.S Army Basic Training School prior
to his induction into the Washington National
Guard.
Brandy was born on July 26, 1985, at
University Hospital in Seattle to Jeff
Hammons and Dori
Casey. In 1990, she came to live with
and later was adopted by her mother, Mary Summers,
in Redmond. She married Chris Brehm and
soon was blessed by Logan who is such a
handsome
and vivacious little boy and such a joy
to
his parents, grandparents, and extended
family.
Brandy was an extremely conscientious mother
completely engrossed daily in Logan’s
welfare and upbringing. We will always be
grateful for the Lord allowing Logan and
Brandy to accompany Mary recently to visit
their large family in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Logan will always be known as God’s “miracle
baby” having been untouched in an accident
that took his mother. Our family is so very
grateful to the residents of the little town
of Big Timber who took him unto their own,
loving our little boy until his family arrived.
For these angels of mercy, we will always
be grateful!
In addition to Logan, Chris, and Mary, Brandy
is survived by her sisters Christina (fiancée
of Shaun Stevens) and Brittany, along with
her adopted sister, Shannon McWatters and
her son Zach. She was very close to and loved
her grandparents, Naida and Robert Berg of
Seattle as well as her birth parents, Jeff
and Dori.
Her grandmother preceded her in death earlier
this summer. Brandy’s extended family
includes her aunts and uncles: Diane and
Jim Summers of Bellevue, Karen F. Summers
of Bellevue, Bill Summers of Bellevue, Leah
and Paul Summers of Sydney, New York, Suzanne
M. and Craig Peless of Idaho Falls, Idaho,
along with many cousins and other family
members who will miss her dearly. She is
also survived by her father-in-law Carl Brehm
who showed Brandy much love and kindness,
as well as Chris’ large extended family.
On Monday, August 20, 2007, Father Dave
Rogerson, Pastor of Saint Jude’s Catholic
Church at 10526 166th Avenue NE, in Redmond,
will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial
at 10:00 A.M. preceded by a private family
viewing.
A trust has been established for the benefit
of Logan and anyone desiring to make a contribution
can do so at Prevail Credit Union, 17601
140th Avenue NE, Woodinville, WA 98072, account
# 0003549054.
Finally, a family friend will be compiling “Dear
Logan” letters which will be shared
with him when he is older. If you have a
memory of Brandy that you would like to contribute,
please forward them to her Mom for the memory
book.
