WSU King County Extension has announced the 9th Annual Harvest Celebration Farm Tour in King County will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Since 1999, this free event has provided an opportunity for citizens of King County to experience the vitality of our local agriculture, to learn the importance of supporting farmers, and to realize the value and joy of eating locally grown and prepared food.

  • Meet local farmers—the people who grow your food.
  • Taste local food: farm-fresh produce, samples and chef cooking demonstrations.
  • Walk the fields of local farms and pick your own vegetables, flowers and pumpkins.
  • Learn about King County’s farming heritage.
  • Activities Galore: live music, corn and bamboo mazes, hay rides, alpaca fiber spinning, cider pressing, butter churning, farm skills demos, composting workshops and so much more.

Participating Farms for 2007 in East King County are:

Ames Creek Farm
Remlinger Farms
BarnPlace
River Valley Ranch
Changing Seasons Farm
Serres Farm
Dougherty Farm
Shongchao’s Farm and Children’s Garden
