Bothell
Historical Society will present a unique photographic
presentation and discussion on the renowned
schooner, WAWONA, by award-winning author Joe
Follansbee Monday, Sept. 24, at the Lytle House
(next to the Bothell Museum) at the Park at
Bothell Landing.
Doors open at 6:30; program
begins at 7
Follansbee wrote “Shipbuilders, Sea
Captains, and Fishermen: the story of the
schooner WAWONA.”
It details the fascinating, 109-year history
of the endangered schooner, WAWONA, now berthed
at Lake Union Park in Seattle.
WAWONA is an official city and state landmark
and is listed on the National Register of
Historic Places.
