Russ was born on December 5, 1946, in Everett, Wash. After attending Shoreline High School and serving in the U.S. Air Force, he lived most of his life in Washington.
He married Teryl in 1980 and they moved to Carnation in 1985 where their children attended Tolt?Elementary School and Junior High, and a couple of years at Cedarcrest.? The family then moved to Cashmere in 1998 onto a large property in Nahahum Canyon, but then later relocated to a property closer to town.
Russell had many hobbies, which included collecting models of military vehicles, collecting historic firearms, and picking out country tunes on his acoustic guitar. His many friends and his family will sorely miss his humor, ready smile and unique insights into life.
