Small Town - Lots Happening

The City of Duvall’s slogan, (Small Town. Real Life.), could also be “Small Town – Lots Happening.”

Even at a fairly quiet City Council meeting on March 27, the various agenda items and staff reports, though mostly minor in scope, supported projects and topics that spell out progress, growth, planning, community participation and a rosy future.

From downtown Duvall’s upcoming revamp, to discussions of new park and recreation possibilities, not to mention a new college campus and public library on the south side of town, Duvall seems to be on the threshold of moving from a sleepy little town to a “happening community.”

“No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it,” H.E. Luccock once stated.

The Duvall Farmers Market is looking for key players to make its third season a symphony worth remembering (and you don’t even have to be musically inclined.)

“It takes a lot of people to put on a community event like a market,” stated Laurie Gilbertson, market director. “We have a lot of assignments and roles that we need people to take on.”
