I applaud the Northshore School Board’s vote to keep Woodin Elementary open. Our community’s outcry clearly changed their decision. The threat of a school closure clearly motivated many to get involved.

 

 
Public money for politics?

Councilmember Larry Philips’ proposal that we use public money for political interest in King County is a bad idea. In a previous issue of the Weekly he proposed that public funds be given to political candidates running for countywide elections, which would include him.
