Mike Donlin from Woodinville has received an award from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Thursday at an afternoon ceremony in the nation’s capital. A veteran educator and administrator with Seattle Public Schools, Donlin will be presented a Spirit of Online Safety Award by his congressman, U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee (D-Wash.), for his commitment to educating students, families and educators about safer online practices and preventing online harassment or intimidation known as cyberbullying. Donlin, who helped create a model policy on electronic means of bullying and harassment as required by Washington Senate Bill 5288, is one of just four award recipients.

At Pacific Lutheran University, more than 850 students were named to the Dean’s List for fall 2007. The list recognizes outstanding academic achievement, as it requires a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term. Honorees included Robbi Nanakul, the daughter of Sandra Bauer and Andrew Constant of Carnation. A graduate of Cedarcrest High School and Bellevue Community College, Nanakul is pursuing a degree in music and a minor in psychology at PLU.
The Winter 2008 Dean’s List at Eastern Washington University includes the following area students: Woodinville— Taylor Adams, Kelly Cappelletti, Matthew Douglas, Taylor Malone, Erin Riley; Bothell — Heidi Fuglevand, McKenzie Lord; Kenmore — Erika Granston.
Sarah Green of Woodinville was one of 100 students to present a research project at Keene State College’s Academic Excellence Conference. Keene State College is located in the Monadnock Region of southwestern New Hampshire.
