The University of Washington Bothell will host its 7th annual Intercultural Night on Saturday, May 10, 5:30-9 p.m., on campus in the North Creek Events Center. The event, open to the public, is a celebration of the diverse cultures on campus. Each year, faculty, staff, students and community members gather to watch music and dance performances, enjoy a dinner buffet, and participate in a silent art auction. The dinner buffet features international cuisine from several local restaurants, showcasing cuisine from the home countries of UW Bothell international students. The performers are students from the three UW campuses, as well as various local community colleges, and the private sector. Guests are encouraged to come wearing traditional dress. During the dinner buffet, guests may participate in a silent auction and bid on art items from around the world. Proceeds from the silent art auction are used to fund the Natalie Kay Lang Immigrant Student Scholarship Fund. Each year, three scholarships are given.
