The Woodinville Chamber of Commerce and selected Washington State visitor’s bureaus, restaurants, wineries and travel partners, present the third annual Washington Wine Highway over Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 24. through Sunday, May 25, at Chateau Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (11141 NE 145th in Woodinville).
Washington Wine Highway is open to the public from noon to 5 p.m. each day. All attendees must be 21 years of age. The Washington Wine Highway weekend is a partnership between Washington state culinary, wine and tourism groups dedicated to educating consumers on destinations between Woodinville and Walla Walla, Wash. Each region highlighted in the event offers a distinct bounty of nationally and internationally recognized wine, culinary and travel products. Representatives from wine production regions in Washington State will again have displays and tastings under covered pavilions located within the amphitheatre at Chateau Ste. Michelle. The pavilions will represent Yakima Valley, Walla Walla Valley, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain and Puget Sound and feature each region’s wineries, restaurants, tour companies and accommodations. Visitors can taste wine and food and learn about tourist activities and itineraries of each region. Upon arrival, visitors will receive a commemorative wine glass and a Washington Wine Highway map to navigate their way via freeway signage to the pavilions. Proceeds from the event will go to the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce and Washington Wine Industry Foundation to promote culinary and wine tourism efforts in the state of Washington, which facilitates industry needs for scholarships, educational events, outreach, research and information to support the Washington wine grape industry.
