Compiled by P. Waters from Woodinville Police reports
A quiet week
A student who was kicked out of Woodinville High last winter has been coming on campus, failing to follow the school’s guest protocol for registering his presence and contacting underage female students.
This week he was issued a formal trespass letter which threatened arrest for further trespass incidents. He told police he would stay away.
A woman reported to police that she had found out her social security number and tax return had been fraudulently obtained by some unknown person.
She called the IRS to ask about her tax refund, which she felt she ought to have received.
The IRS agent told her it had been used to pay off a 2004 tax debt, a debt that was not hers.
The IRS agent also had her birth year wrong and noted that the larcenous filer had used the name “Brown.” The victim will be contacting credit bureaus to check for other evidence of identity theft.
A passerby noted suspicious-looking people in his elderly neighbor’s yard. Upon checking, he found one of them holding open a back window and assumed the other was already inside. The couple ended up running away, with nothing taken from the house.
A backpack belonging to one of them was found on the ground, containing jewelry trinkets and a credit card. Suspects have not been identified.
