Every year Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center holds the Pat Flynn Memorial Horse Show and the Margo O’Callaghan Memorial Dressage Show at its facility in Woodinville. These shows are the largest annual equestrian competitions in this region for children and adults with disabilities.
One young man who will be participating this year is Cameron Boyd, who at 2 years of age, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor that was gradually cutting off the oxygen supply to his brain.

| Duvall Days mud wrestling ... er, race results |

Duvall residents Tim Fay (center), Ian Fay, 9, (on Tim’s right) and Ryan Tracy, 9, cross the finish line in the Duvall Days 5K run. The three of them finished the race in 26 minutes.
It looked like the setup for a Tide commercial.
Mud spattered brown was the color of the day at the 2008 Duvall Days 5K and 10K runs on Saturday, June 7. A broken beaver dam earlier in the week and torrential downpours in the hours leading up to the run had the race crew hustling.

Make a kit, make a plan, be informed
The National Safety Council (NSC) traditionally hosts National Safety Month every June to promote safety throughout the country, and this year’s observances target the most significant reasons for unintentional deaths at home, in the workplace, and on the road, with the week of 2-6 June specifically set aside to encourage emergency preparedness messaging.
According to FEMA Regional Administrator Susan Reinertson, engaging citizens in homeland security and disaster preparedness is a critical first step in effective government response and recovery efforts.

Cedarcrest High School award winners were recognized June 5.
On Thursday, June 5th, the seats in the commons area of Cedarcrest High School were filled and there was truly “standing room only” as proud parents, anxious students and a dedicated staff waited for the ceremony to begin.
The award-winning CHS band and choir entertained the guests with a medley of musical arrangements, while music director Ryan Lewis shared his infectious musical vigor with all in attendance.
