Mr. John Jerome and Ms. Rebecca Kaake, both of Kirkland, Washington, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ms. Emily Jerome, to Mr. Sean Bolen, son of Kerry and Ava Bolen, of Henderson, Nevada. Ms. Jerome, originally from Woodinville, Washington, graduated cum laude from Western Washington University 2009, attended a master’s program at Pacific University, 2012, and works as a real estate broker. Mr. Bolen, originally from Lake Oswego, Oregon, attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 2007, holds an MBA in Finance from Marylhurst University, 2014, and works as an investment manager with Oregon Wealth Management. A wedding is planned for Aug. 23, 2015 in Woodinville, Washington.

Gary Mader and Karen Peterson of Woodinville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Jackie Mader to Cliff Archey, son of William and Barbara Archey of Alexandria, Va.

Jackie is a 2006 graduate of Woodinville High School and a 2009 graduate of Loyola Marymount University. She received a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and is currently a journalist for a national education news media outlet.

Engagement CorbinGarry and Dawn Corbin are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elise Corbin, to Bijan Hughes, son of Marjaneh and Thomas Hughes.

Elise and Bijan are both 2008 graduates of Woodinville High School, where they met and fell in love over their pre-calculus table in Mr. Merritt’s math class.

The couple currently resides in Washington, D.C., where they both attended and graduated from The George Washington University in 2011.

Bijan is currently attending The George Washington University Law School with plans to graduate in May 2014. The happy couple will be married in 2015.

Mattheis v2Larry and Sally Roemer, of Sarasota, Fla., are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Jenny Roemer, to Nick Matthies. Nick is the son of Mark and Donna Matthies, of Woodinville, Wash.

The wedding took place on June 29, 2013, in Fort Collins, Colo.The ceremony was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the Fort Collins Country Club. Emily Roemer, also of Sarasota, Fla., was Jenny’s maid of honor. Jamie Geerdes, Christine Huber, Morgan Hornsby, and Kara Matthies served as bridesmaids.

Nick’s best man was Eric Fullmer, of Jacksonville, Ariz., with Chas Sweitzer, James Hinterlong, Davis Fischer and Andy Ferguson serving as groomsmen. The flower girl was Amy Cushing, and Ben Bissmeyer was the couple’s ring bearer.

Jenny and Nick met in 2006 in Fort Collins, Colo., where they were both students at Colorado State University (CSU).

Jenny received both her B.S. in natural resource recreation and tourism (2010) and M.S. in human dimensions of natural resources (2012) from CSU. Nick graduated with a B.S. in geology from CSU in 2010. He is now working on his master’s degree in geology at the Colorado School of Mines. The couple currently resides in Denver, Colo.

Engagement Kollmannv2David and Marilyn Fullmer are happy to announce the engagement of their son, Christopher, to Andrea Kollmann.

Chris graduated from Woodinville High School in 2004. 

He is employed in the U.S. Air Force and currently lives in Charleston, S.C.

Andrea is the daughter of Tom and Jane Kollmann of Savannah, Georgia. She graduated from Oklahoma State University and is employed as a child development teacher in Charleston.

An April 2014 wedding is planned at Middleton Plantation, Charleston.
