Martin C Ochsner passed away on August 6, 2012, at the age of 92 in Woodinville, Wash.
He was born in Keokuk, Iowa, January 9, 1920. Martin and his brother came to Seattle prior to World War II to live with an aunt and uncle. They fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and never moved back. Martin joined the Seattle Mountaineers where he met Florence and they married on Sept 13, 1947. They skied and hiked and then climbed all the majors and most of the minor peaks in Washington state. Later Martin and Florence moved to Maui and enjoyed 36 years of scuba diving, traveling and volunteering their time to the local Catholic Church although retired.
Martin was at one time the biggest stock market day trader in the state of Hawaii.
During their last 10 years they moved to Woodinville to be closer to family.
Martin is survived by his daughters, Teri Scheuer, Mary Ochsner, Joanne Pasqua; son, Don Ochsner; eight grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
