On May 28, Woodinville Fastpitch Coach Dani Weir told her athletes that they had a mandatory team-bonding event after practice. After practice, the team followed their coach to the Redmond Courthouse, where Dani’s fiancé, Chad Tachell, was patiently waiting. When they were all out of their cars, Dani surprised the team and asked them to join her family and witness her wedding, which took place moments later in the courthouse. As they exited, the girls formed a tunnel and chanted the softball cheer, “We are proud of you, say we are proud of you,” while the couple walked through. The judge said it was her first “team wedding.”
