Annual Heritage Festival free hands-on fun for all ages

  • Written by Valley View Staff

Bring the entire family! Young and old, there is something for every age to enjoy and step back in time – together – at the Duvall Heritage Festival on September 26 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Put down the smart phones and tablets and stop in at the Dougherty Farmstead located at 26526 Cherry Valley Road in Duvall. This popular festival is free.

Dance to live music, sit back and listen to local folklore and traditional First Nations drumming. Be a pioneer, churn butter, peel apples and wash clothes the old-fashioned way. Enjoy quilt turning, wool spinning and tour the historic farmhouse, milkshed and bunkhouse.

It’s hands-on fun for all ages; take a glimpse back in time. This is a great opportunity for the kids to understand a part of Washington state’s heritage. Complimentary parking is available at Holy Innocents Church and Cherry Valley Elementary.
