Pick (and purchase) a handcrafted, blown glass pumpkin during Schack-toberfest at the Schack Art Center in Everett from Sept. 24 - 27.
This admission-free festival features an urban pumpkin patch filled with 600 glistening glass pumpkins and gourds in all sizes and colors, as well as harvest-themed artwork and gifts. Guests may also want to take part in activities for kids, pumpkin raffles and the opportunity to make your own glass pumpkin in the Schack’s hot shop. Check schack.org for complete list of activities and times.
In addition to the all-ages, daytime festivities, those 21 and over will enjoy Beer & Brat Night on Thursday, Sept. 24 from 5-9 p.m. This evening in the glass patch features live music from Preacher’s Wife, bratwurst by Das Brat Wagen and beer or hard cider served in a souvenir Schack pint glass. Guests will also see glassblowing demonstrations by artists from the upcoming exhibit, All Natural, at work in the Schack’s hot shop. Tickets for Beer & Brat Night are $20 for Schack members, $25 for non-members and may be purchased online at schack.org or at the door.
