Sorta haunted open house — Friday, Oct. 30

  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff

Woodinville’s Jam Academy Music School is hosting a free, all-ages, haunted house event on Friday, Oct. 30 from 6-8 p.m.

The event is geared toward kids 13 and under and will feature fun activities including a scavenger hunt in Jam Academy’s Mad Scientist Lab and Vampire Dungeon.

The school’s instructors will be dressed in various costumes — some spooky, some not so much. There will be a musical instrument petting zoo where kids can try out drums, guitar and bass.

Kids can get their pictures taken as rock stars with our props in a VIP/red carpet photo shoot and of course there will be trick or treating and a costume contest so make to sure to come dressed in your best costume.

The event will also feature short performances from our student rock bands which will be comprised entirely of kids and teens which is always a scream — any time of year.

This is designed as a walk- through event so that we can let as many kids participate as possible. It’s safe to expect 10-15 minutes of visit time to score your loot, get a little bit spooked and leave with a full sack of goodies.

Jam Academy was previously known as Spotlight Studios but rebranded as Jam Academy Music School (J.A.M.S.) early last year when they altered their business model to offering music lessons and rock band classes exclusively and moved away from offering rehearsal space rentals for rock bands.

The school is located at 17802 134th Avenue NE Suite 19 in the Bear Creek Plaza near the Collective on Tap, Northwest Trophies*, and Builder's Interiors.  (*Printed edition says Mr T's Trophy's. The online edition has been corrected)

The plaza is across the train tracks from the Woodinville post office.

We recommend parking near the train tracks as this will be a busy night.
