Woodinville Kids To Rock Out At Jam Academy - Aug 19

  • Written by Woodinville Weekly Staff
Ok Woodinville, it’s time to party!

Throughout the year a bunch of fearless students participate in Jam Academy Music School’s Rock Band program. They, along with our fine, fun and friendly staff are most excited for their opportunity for outdoor performances like this one. The weather in August is usually perfect for a barbecue and the performers are always anxious to strut their stuff for friends and family before school starts up in September. Lucky for them the JAMS (Jam Academy Music School) annual BBQ and open house usually turns out to be the performance pinnacle of the summer for these talented youngsters. This year on August 19 each of six student bands will lay it all down with handfuls of pop and rock songs that they’ve been honing in on for your entertainment. This is a FREE and kid friendly event. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

bbqpromoThis year you’ll enjoy performances from Tea At The Treedome, Le Coké, The Puget Sound, Darkside, Chaos Factory and Title-Wave. Join us for free food, great music, prizes (we’re giving away a Teton Ukulele worth over $100!), special offers for new students and some cool music swag from Teton Guitars. If you’re a first-timer (JAMS noob!) we’ll gladly walk you and the kids along our “wall of fame” and give you a personal tour of our 2500 sq ft rock and roll facility. JAMS does more than just Rock by the way. Students can learn voice, orchestral strings, flute, sax, clarinet and trumpet as well. JAMS also has a small retail store where you can pick up some accessories and even rent your child’s school band or orchestra instruments.

Stop by before or after “Celebrate Woodinville” (the events are on the same day) on August 19th to check out the talent and meet the staff. Located between Homeward Pet and Target at: 17802 134th AVE NE #19
