Celebrate mom at Lake Washington Institute of Technology’s Wine Dinner

Lake Washington Institute of Technology’s Culinary Arts and Wine programs are hosting the second in a series of seasonal wine dinners. The popular “Wine Dinner” series features culinary student creations and some of the best wines of the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy a savory amuse bouche, followed by four exquisite courses, each paired with local wines from Woodinville-based Patterson Cellars. Highlights of this dinner include King Salmon Rillettes, lobster and morel handkerchief, cinnamon smoked pork tenderloin, and a special dessert completes this perfect way to celebrate mom while supporting student scholarship programs at LWTech.

Exciting line-up for Celebrate Woodinville 2014 Summer Event Series

Mark your calendars and get ready! Celebrate Woodinville is gearing up for a terrific 2014 Summer Event Series. Bring your family, friends and neighbors and enjoy the Fourth of July celebration, Wednesday evening concerts in the park on July 16, July 23, July 30, and August 6, and the second annual Woodinville festival on August 16.

Chateau Ste. Michelle summer concerts

Chateau Ste. Michelle winery is proud to announce its 2014 Summer Concert Series, featuring 21 star-studded concerts. The 2014 season kicks off June 13 with a performance by Allen Stone, and marks the 30th anniversary of the winery’s popular annual outdoor summer concert series.

Tickets for the winery’s concerts will go on sale Saturday, April 26th at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com and at all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Chateau Ste. Michelle wine shop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The Woodinville Concert Band presents ‘History’

The Woodinville Concert Band’s spring performance, entitled “History,” will take place at the Redmond Performing Arts Center on Sunday, May 4 at 3 p.m. Featuring composers such as Robert W. Smith, Frank Ticheli and Vaclav Nelhlybel, it is free and open to the public.

Shelley and the Curves kick off Triplehorn’s new Friday nights

Shelley and the Curves will be the first Top 40 / Cover Band to play at Triplehorn Brewing Co. on Friday nights beginning May 2 at 8 p.m. The all-ages show has no cover charge.

Triplehorn and local promoter Mad Mike Presents have been booking mostly original live music in its newly expanded space on Saturday nights since Feb. 28. Acts range from rockabilly to hard rock and been held so that “those of us on the Eastside don’t have to cross a bridge to see a decent show,” says promoter Michael “Mad Mike” Miller. “…Triplehorn is trying to fill the void left when Big Daddy’s closed two years ago by asking me to book this level of top 40 /cover bands.”
