Northshore Senior Center to host holiday marketplace

Journey through the Northshore Senior Center’s marketplace. Check out handcrafted items, quality artwork, find a unique holiday gift or specialty jewelry. Bake sale table will be available with treats.

Granny’s Kitchen will be open from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. both days. Purchase homemade soups, warm breads, desserts and beverages. You can dine in or take out.

Woodinville native to host book signing at Third Place Books

Catherynne M. Valente will appear to read and sign her new adult novel “Radiance” at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. Valente grew up in Woodinville, and attended both Wellington Elementary and Leota Junior High. She is best known for the New York Times best-selling, about-to-be-five-part, “The Girl Who Sailed to Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making” young adult series.
