Obit Russell OreRussell Ore, 90, passed away peacefully at home in Ellensburg, WA on May 20, 2017. He was born June 22, 1926 in Pony, MT to Lucy and Hector Ore. He shared a wonderful childhood with his late siblings Catherine Gerard, Louie and Don Nokes. He married his beloved late wife, Doreen June Barnes, in 1951. They shared a loving and beautiful life together with four children. They were married for 54 years before she passed away in 2005. Russ is survived by his children Cary Ore (Joanne), Vern Ore (late wife Janine), Lanny Ore (Pat Cahill) and Leeanne Wilburn (Glenn). He was blessed with seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren with one on the way.

Russ joined the US Army in 1944. He served our country for two years leaving with an Honorable Discharge. He led a long career as a truck driver before retiring from Woodinville Lumber in 1988. Russ had a passion for horses and camping but his true love in life was family.

Services will be held on Sat. June 10, 2017 at 3pm. The service will be held at the Woodinville Methodist Church, 17110 140th Ave NE with a reception to follow.
