Leonard ManteiLeonard Karl Mantei, 88, of Woodinville, Wash., passed away on Friday, September, 22, 2017.  He was born January 13, 1929 in Fortuna, (Divide County) North Dakota, the son of the late Rudolf and Mabel Florence (Russel) Mantei. Leonard married Melba Lorraine (Wylder) on January 28th 1956.  She preceded him in death on December 22, 2002. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War; serving in Austria. Leonard was a longtime member of the V.F.W. #2995 in Bellevue. His longest term employment was in Carpentry and he continued to build & remodel his own homes, & otherwise enjoyed tinkering in his work shop. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Leonard is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Zatrine; step-son, Craig Sanford and wife Barbara; step-son Gary Dethlefs and wife Donna; step daughter, Roberta Skinner; five grandchildren, Elise Skinner, Brett Skinner and wife Lisa, Kristine Silva, Michael Craig Sanford and wife Jeannie and Tracy Dethlefs and wife Francine; numerous great-grandchildren; Anthony Silva, Matthew Silva, Alexander Sanford, Emily Sanford, Lauren Skinner, Brooke Skinner, Keon Dethlefs ; sisters, Rodella Knutson and Delores Wehrman; numerous nieces & nephews, and great & great great nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother Rudy and two sisters, Lorna Torgerson and Ramona Thompson.
