David Obituary PictureDavid Arthur Nelson, age 52, passed away suddenly on January 27 from what was most likely a pulmonary embolism at his Woodinville home with his beloved family; wife Karen, and daughters Alex, Abbey and Grace nearby.

David was born in Seattle on February 15, 1965 to Gail and Kay (Hansen) Nelson and grew up in Woodinville alongside brother Darryl, and sisters Debbie, Dianne and Dori.  He was a lifelong resident of Woodinville, having attended Woodin Elementary, Leota Jr. High and graduating from Bothell High School in 1983 before going on to Seattle Pacific University.   On August 28, 1993, David married the love of his life, Karen Pirollo, and a couple years later they started the family that many of us know so well today… Alex, Grace, and Abbey Nelson.

David loved life and made others around him happy with his special gift of laughter and quick wit.  David could make anyone laugh.  Above all else, David had a fierce love for his family that was apparent to everyone.  He also loved his friends and would make time for anyone who needed an ear, a shoulder or anything else that he could provide.  He was a special man who touched countless lives with his heartfelt and genuine care and concern for others.
Donations can be made to the David Nelson Memorial Fund, which has been setup on GoFundMe.com to help support David’s family in the wake of this tragedy (https://www.gofundme.com/david-nelson-memorial-fund).
