Pet of the Week - June 27, 2011

  • Written by Homeward Pet Adoption Center

JoseyJosey is a 10-pound Chihuahua who was rescued from a backyard breeding situation.

Now spayed, her puppy bearing days are behind her and she’s looking forward to meeting kind people who will treat her like she deserves and show her what a normal, happy dog life is like.

Josey is just over a year old and has lots of potential. She is eager to develop a trusting relationship so she can show how much love she has to offer.

She will need to find someone who is compassionate and willing to take things slow with her. She will need help working on her house training and her new owner will need to be patient in this area. Josey is looking to be placed with children over the age of 12 years old at this time.

Please come and meet this sweet girl if you are interested!

Like all cats and dogs available for adoption at Homeward Pet, Josey has been microchipped, but if you have a pet at home that hasn’t been, Homeward Pet Adoption Center is providing free pet microchipping between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, through Friday, July 1, while supplies last.

Beginning Tuesday, July 5, Homeward Pet will offer microchips for just $20 (cash only) every Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

No appointment is necessary. All dogs and cats brought in for microchipping at Homeward Pet must be spayed or neutered.
