butch POWThis handsome cat is living proof that some of us don’t get older, we just get better.

He may be 14 years old, however he acts like a much younger guy.

Butch is in good health and we recently gave him a dental cleaning so he now has shiny pearly whites.

This blue eyed (and slightly crossed) Siamese mix is a big boy and is declawed, but that doesn’t prevent him from climbing up into your lap.

He and a couple other cats were surrendered to a shelter in eastern Washington as their humans had lost their homes, possibly due to the recent fires.

He is at Homeward now, but a shelter is no place for a senior cat to spend his retirement years, so we are hopeful that this “looker” will charm someone very soon. Could it be you?

Come meet Butch at Homeward Pet! We are located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville and are open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.

See all our adoptable dogs, cats, kittens and puppies at www.homewardpet.org.

Homeward Pet wants your pet to have the best form of identification available.  Bring your cat or dog to Homeward Pet between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., October 12-13 to be microchipped and registered for free while supplies last.

All animals brought in for microchipping must be spayed or neutered.

Toby POWToby is a very friendly and active 10-month-old who was rescued from a neglectful situation by a caring and concerned neighbor. Now Toby is at Homeward Pet, where he is receiving lots of attention and healthy food. He needs to add to his 41 pounds, but he’s on the fast track to being big and strong!

Toby would benefit from an active owner who would like to take him through training and provide daily exercise and structure. He is eager to learn, but still needs to get his house training and basic commands down. He is best suited for kids over 6 years old who are sturdy and comfortable enough to be around a strapping and rambunctious dog.

Toby will make a great running or hiking companion, or a dog that clears squirrels out of the backyard! He is friendly with other dogs, but should have a cat-free home. If you are looking for an outing buddy to keep you company, consider making Toby yours!

Come meet Toby at Homeward Pet! We are located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville and are open for visitors between 12 noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.

Dani

This mother and daughter team are the best of friends and would like to grow old together. The family resemblance is undeniable — both are short haired “blue” tortoiseshell beautifully colored gray, buff orange and white.

Mom Rosie, almost 6  years old, is the more outgoing of the two gals and loves her humans. Her 5-year-old daughter, Dani, is a shy kitty until she is comfortable in her surroundings, then she is quite the love bug herself.

Their owners regretfully had to surrender them when they had a family member move in with them who had cat allergies. These girls are easy to care for and promise to bring love and happiness to their new home!

Homeward is located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville and are open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.

Beecher POWAttention terrier fans!

This spirited little fellow is named Beecher.

At just under 13 pounds, he’s only small in size, as he boasts a full-size personality!

Originally coming to Homeward as a transfer from a local area shelter, Beecher is on the lookout for an owner who would appreciate a curious and very active companion.

He would be ideal for some who is looking for an exercise companion, agility dog or a dog to take through obedience classes.

Five-year-old Beecher is intelligent and alert and will soak up instruction like a natural. He loves to play fetch and engage in just about any other fun game.

Beecher is ready to assume his role as a happy and outgoing sidekick.

If you’d like to make him yours, his human friends at Homeward Pet are standing by, ready to make a great match. Please ask about him today.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville and is open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.

Kitten POWSummertime means kitten-time in shelters. We currently have plenty of wonderful little felines here at Homeward Pet just waiting to steal your hearts!

There is Ace, an adorable playful orange tabby. Ace was born missing one foot which doesn’t seem to deter him from being in perpetual motion. This sweet little guy can keep up with all of the others; often we find they can’t keep up with him! There are Elliot and Tank —  almost identical brothers, polydactyl (extra toes) who look like they are wearing catcher’s mitts.

Buttons is just like her name — as cute as a button! This pretty calico just can’t get enough of human love.

We have lots more kittens, not only in our shelter but also out in our foster program that are expected to be returning to Homeward in the next few weeks.

Come on in and meet these friendly little guys and dolls! If they can’t put a smile on your face, then we have no idea what would!

We are located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville and are open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m, Wednesday through Sunday.
