There was a cat named Lucky who was at Homeward Pet for months.
Because she didn’t care for other cats, she was very unhappy in the shelter environment.
She was always on her guard and being surrounded by felines made her edgy and often grumpy.Once adopted into an “only cat” household, her new parents described Lucky as “the best cat in the world.”
We see Garbo as a Lucky kind of cat. She is spirited, playful and very entertaining.
However, when she sees another cat in the shelter she becomes annoyed.
It can be difficult to convince potential adopters that outside of the shelter, Garbo had been a wonderful family cat. Her previous owners described her as kid-friendly, easy-going, mild-mannered and low-maintenance.
They did allow her to go outside so perhaps an indoor-outdoor lifestyle, although risky in the Northwest, would probably be best suited for her, though we do hope that her new owner will initially try to keep her as an indoor-only kitty.
Garbo is a 3-year-old short-haired tabby with the cutest face. We hope that someone will come in and look beyond her “shelter attitude” and give her a chance so she can be the queen of her castle!
Come meet Garbo at Homeward Pet Adoption Center. We’re located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville.
Our shelter is open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
