‘Purse party’ fundraiser to benefit local women in need

  • Written by Submitted by Barb Olsen

It’s that time of year again when the Duvall Civic Club asks community members to cast about in their closets for gently-used or new purses to donate to the third annual Duvall Civic Club Purse Party fundraiser. The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Match Coffee and Wine, 15705 Main Street in Duvall. The public is invited to attend.

Proceeds will be used to help support the emergency shelter program at LifeWire (formerly Eastside Domestic Violence), individual residents at Acres of Diamonds transitional housing in Duvall, and the Vicky Neil family of Tuxedo’s Antique Mall in Duvall, who recently lost their daughter, Cara, as well as to other Duvall Civic Club endeavors in the community.
Donations of purses, totes, and wallets can be dropped off at Match any Tuesday through Saturday until the night of the event, when they will be sold in a silent auction.

Bidding begins at 5 p.m. and closes at 7:30 p.m. You (or someone to represent you) must be present to claim your winning bids.

For more information about donations, call (206) 462-9239. And for information about the event, see
